Opposition Governor of Miranda State, Henrique Capriles Radonski, announced a plan to overcome the current economic crisis in Venezuela, including actions to be adopted from now until December.
In a press conference, the governor asserted that the economic plan of the Venezuelan government was based on "doing nothing," hence, considering such "outrageous indifference," he decided to bring forward a proposal to tackle the crisis along with his team.
He affirmed that there was not an "economic war," as the government argues, but "people in power who squandered, they stole the biggest oil boom of our country."
Capriles proposed a 50%-increase in salary for all workers, a fund worth USD 150 million for school supplies in order to support students, returning the 293 inoperative seized companies to their original owners, revising all oil shipments agreements with discounts of up to 100%, and claiming the settlement of debts owed to Venezuela by foreign countries.
