The conversations between the Government and the Colombian Federation of Workers of the Education (Fecode) come today to their fifth day without any result, while it continues the strike initiated 13 days ago, which involves 300,000 teachers in the country.
The teachers demand a wage increase and major resources for the sector, among other requests.
Luis Grubert, president of Fecode, said that the declarations in the Colombian capital will be endorsed by similar demonstrations in the rest of the nation.
In a press conference the leader of the union announced that approximately 50,000 teachers will remain on the streets in Bogota until consensuses are reached, at the same time that he made a called to president Juan Manuel Santos as for him to take into consideration their demands.
