An increase of $ 10 per hour requested three unions of the Panama Canal Authority (ACP), representing some 8000 workers 10,000 which currently have the canal form.

Panama Area Metal Trades Council (PAMTC), National Maritime Union (NMU) and Panama Canal and Caribbean Union (SCPC) are part of the bargaining unit non-professionals.

The financial proposal was presented to management as part of negotiations for a new collective agreement.
