Eurozone businesses saw the fastest rate of jobs growth for four and half years in November, according to the latest Markit Eurozone purchasing managers’ index.

The data, published today, indicates Eurozone businesses have witnessed the fastest rates of growth in business activity and employment since 2011.

The rate of jobs growth was even more pronounced outside the area’s two largest economies, Germany and France. Outside of these two countries employment rose at its fastest pace since July 2007. No specific numbers for growth were provided.

Meanwhile, the Markit Eurozone PMI indicated the fastest rate of Eurozone expansion of output since May 2011, increasing from 53.9 in October to 54.4. Any reading over 50 indicates growth.
