Labour productivity in the country is growing inequality in different economic sectors. Between 2002 and 2012, output per worker grew at 12.7 percent, according to the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

One way to approximate the labor productivity of Bolivians is the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) per worker. This measure shows the amount of product generated per occupied in various industries.

"Between 2002 and 2012 in Bolivia, output per worker grew at 12.7 percent. But this growth, besides being relatively moderate, masks huge inequalities between different branches of economic activity, "said Ernesto Perez, UNDP economist.
