The lack of regulations for domestic labor causes 124 300 children in Mexico to be employed under risky conditions and be victims of exploitation, National Council for Discrimination Prevention (CONAPRED) reported today.

Two out of ten Mexican children and teenagers involved in domestic labor are between 5 and 13 years old and many work in order to attend school, feed themselves or getting dressed, the source added.

A recent publication by CONAPRED also adds that the 11.3 percent of children, from five to 17 years, lives in a state different from their home state, 67.4 percent Works for a third party and the 32.6 percent do it along with their families.
